I am a freelance writer and photographer with a strong interest in travel writing. By trade I work full-time in human resources which has given me an insight into human behaviours. This knowledge has helped my research into each new and exciting destination I visit.
I have travelled broadly through the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and of course my home country Australia. The travel focus I pursue is on wellbeing, health, people, culture, independent and adventure travel.
I believe that to be a success you have to treat writing as a business. And that is what I do. As a frequent traveller, I am passionate about exploring new cities and places overseas and within Australia. I love to meet new people and get to know them and their culture. I am serious about a career in Freelance Writing and treat this as a business.
I have a Diploma in Travel Journalism as well has having completed a magazine and travel writing course through the Australian Writer’s Centre. I also write a travel blog A Lady In Adelaide where I have a modest following of readers from around the globe.
In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) where I was able to secure top honours in the topics of Managing Diversity, Strategic Human Resources and Employee Relations. I take the Human Resources professional seriously through my professional membership of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI).
As a graduate of the Australian Writer’s Centre I understand what an editor is looking for in quality, professional, informative articles.
Attention to detail, proofreading, editing and re-editing so there is no bad spelling and grammar.
Passion and Dedication
My passion is travel and writing. To combine the two is a dream come true. I strive to produce accurate, well-written and researched articles.
I set my deadlines ahead of schedule to be sure that I will always submit commissioned work on time. A deadline is a deadline and I always turn work in on time or even before it is due.
I am able to provide high-resolution quality photographs to accompany most articles.
